[email protected] is proud to offer new distance education options for families that want the flexibility of schooling at home, while still being supported by external teaching and guidance from BCS teachers. There are now three options for conducting distance education offered by [email protected]: BCS Online, Print-Based Distance Education, and Shared Responsibility. Families who choose [email protected] Distance Education will have the opportunity to achieve academic excellence under the guidance of a faith-based school board ranked in the top 2.7 per cent of all high schools in Alberta. [email protected] Distance Education is unique from other online and print-based school options in Alberta, in that students in all facets of the distance education branch are welcome to join in all extracurriculars with the students at the BCS campus location, including sports tryouts, drama teams and chapel services as they choose. We are so excited to offer a way for families to experience the connectedness and flexibility of online school while being guided by the dedicated online teachers at [email protected]
Shared Responsibility Learning
If you want to homeschool in the traditional format for certain courses, but are looking for a greater degree of educational support and involvement in others, you can opt for the shared responsibility program. This option combines distance education courses of your choosing with traditional home education.
Print Based Distance Education
Through this option, families can experience the flexibility of schooling at home for students in grades 1-6 while still benefiting from the hands-on guidance of [email protected] teachers. Staff will provide students with the curriculum and materials by which the instruction and assessment takes place. Students will be able to regularly access the instructional expertise of teachers.
In BCS Online
Read firsthand about how others have utilized online schooling in order to excel creatively, academically and socially throughout their high school experiences. Parents and students share about how online schooling allowed them to experience the joy of learning and explore their unique interests, while also setting them up for success in university education.

[email protected] Online is our new online option for homeschool students grades 7-12, offering online classes taught by [email protected] teachers and supplemented with ADLC options as needed.
