Bearspaw Christian School delivers a quality Athletic program, offering an incredibly rich platform to glorify God in mind, heart, body, and soul. We place the highest value on the pursuit of Christ-like character, sportsmanship, teamwork, personal development and athletic excellence
BCS Elementary introduces students to the joy of sport through special physical education class activities, gym free time, recreational intramurals, and competitive tournaments throughout the school year. We also come together to enjoy fitness through the annual Terry Fox Run, Vivo Day, and Elementary Sports Day.
BCS Secondary offers a variety of intramurals, team and individual sports, as well as training camps led by skilled and dedicated coaches. The Junior High Sports Day, hosted at Rotary Challenger Park offers students a taste of Olympic competitions while promoting teamwork. The Bearspaw Barbell club is an opportunity for Senior High guys and gals to learn and practice disciplined strength training and pursue lifelong fitness.
Intramurals at BCS provide students with the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular physical activity in a moderately competitive environment. Junior High students are welcome to join us most Tuesdays and Thursdays in the MPF gym at lunch time to play 4 v 4 volleyball, 3 v 3 basketball, 4 v 4 soccer or dodgeball.
The Elementary intramural program serves as an alternative lunchtime recess activity for grades 1-6. Sports and activities will vary monthly and complement the current sports taught during PE class, including tag games, soccer, dodgeball, basketball, kickball and more.
