Hi! My name is Michelle Irvine and I am relatively new to the teaching profession after completing my Bachelor of Education degree as a mature student through the University of Alberta/Red Deer College Collaborative Program in 2018. Until that time, I worked part-time as an Educational Assistant while my main focus was at home with my husband and two sons. In addition to my B.Ed., I also hold a Master of Science degree with a specialty in Environmental Toxicology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture. Before having a family, I worked as an environmental toxicologist with a consulting firm in Calgary, Alberta.
I am coming to BCS@Home as an online teacher after working as a High School Biology and General Science teacher at Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in Red Deer, AB. I love spending time with my family enjoying the outdoors and watching movies and time alone working on digital scrapbook projects.
I am so excited to be a part of the BCS@Home team helping students grow in their walk with Jesus and learning to accomplish their best through Him! I am eager to support students as they work through distance learning to create a path to success uniquely their own!
