I attended BCS from Kindergarten all the way to grade 12. As you can imagine, the memories I have of the school, my peers, and the staff are endless. Bearspaw feels like a second home to me; I mean I feel like I spent half my life there! When I look back at the thirteen years, I spent at BCS, I am constantly reminded of the amazing teachers that impacted my life so much, and pushed me to grow academically, athletically, in my faith, and as a person.

I am constantly reminded of the amazing teachers that impacted my life so much, and pushed me to grow academically, athletically, in my faith, and as a person.

Growing up, I always loved to sing, and Bearspaw gave me the opportunity to use my musical talents to glorify God through participating on worship teams from the time I was in grade 6, all the way to grade 12. I also had the privilege of representing the blue & gold on the volleyball court and the soccer field for all six years of secondary school. I loved being able to continue developing as an athlete while representing my school and God.

During my grade 12 year, I was recruited to play soccer at Providence University in Manitoba, and since graduating from BCS in 2019 I have been studying, traveling with my team, and playing a whole lot of soccer! In April 2024 I will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business with a psychology minor. With the Coronavirus pandemic effecting 2 years of my athletic journey (one missed Canadian season and two missed American seasons), I am thrilled to say that this past season, my team won the NCCAA Women’s div. II National Championship in Florida. The first ever won by a soccer team in my schools’ history! It was such a full circle moment for me, seeing my years of work and determination, pay off. It made me think back to all the gym classes or practices I had at Bearspaw, where I was constantly being molded into a better athlete, but more importantly a better person with Christ-like character. Bearspaw was the foundation of where I was taught how to live with Christ-like integrity.

Thank you, Bearspaw, for helping raise me into the person I am today. And a special thank you to everyone of my teachers that made such a lasting impact on my life.
